Bob co-founded BlockCross in 2005 after many years in the FinTech space. Prior to BlockCross Bob was with ITG for 8 years, and was CEO from 2002 through 2004. During this period ITG developed Triton, Radical, acquired Hoenig, and advanced the company’s mission as the world leader in transaction cost measurement. Prior to ITG Bob spent a decade at Reuters where he gained experience in all the financial markets and led the successful effort to acquire and integrate Quotron. Bob has unique insights into the many challenges facing the institutional trading community and has built and implemented successful solutions across a variety of trading environments. Bob graduated with a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Preston Ford

Prior to co-founding BlockCross Holdings, Preston was founder and CEO of The LongView Group from 1982 to 2000. LongView became a major player in buy-side trade-order management systems. By 2000 LongView had 75 employees and 50 clients, including many of the world’s largest asset managers, with offices in Boston, London, and Singapore. Today LongView is owned by Linedata of Paris, France. In 2001 Preston retired from Longview to spend time with his wife and two sons, before starting BCH with Bob Russel in 2005. Preston graduated with a BS from MIT and an MBA from Harvard University.
